Wow, I am severely disappointed in the #1 song there. Seriously, that makes me a little sad. But alas! Today is not about being sad, it’s about being HAPPY for summer! Just in case some of those songs were a bit too old school for your tastes, here is Hitfix.com’s list of the Top 25 Summer 2012 Songs:

Carly Rae Jepsen, “Call Me Maybe”

Toby Keith, “Beers Ago”

Azealia Banks, “Jumanji”

The Black Keys, “Gold on the Ceiling”

Usher, “Scream”

Rihanna, “Where Have You Been”

Dierks Bentley, “5-1-5-0”

David Guetta, “Titanium” featuring Sia

Ellie Goulding, “Lights”

Gotye “Somebody That I Used to Know” feat. Kimbra

Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown, “Right By My Side”

Of Monsters and Men, “Little Talks”

Kylie Minoque, “Timebomb”

Linkin Park, “Burn It Down”

R. Kelly, “Share My Love”

One Direction, “One Thing”

Big K.R.I.T., “I Got It”

Adam Lambert, “Never Close Our Eyes”

Wallpaper., “F**king Best Song Everrr”

Grouplove, “Tongue Tied”

The Wanted, “Chasing the Sun”

Wale, “Bag of Money” featuring Rick Ross, Meek Mill & T-Pain

Luke Bryan, “Drunk On You”

Wiz Khalifa, “Work Hard, Play Hard”

Rita Ora, “How We Do (Party)”

Yes, these are the songs that by the end of the summer you will never want to hear again (I am already at that point with the Gotye song and Call Me Maybe…how about NO!). Overall, I am actually pretty happy with this list. It covers all genres and there are songs on there that I haven’t even heard yet. I was literally just asking Rich if he has heard that How We Do song because I have heard it only once and I liked it a lot. That is going to be my new JAM! Now that you all have your Summer 2012 Playlist set and ready to rock, grill up some burgers, run in the sprinklers and just enjoy the hot sun. As an extra added bonus, here are a few pictures of the Romanator enjoying (or being highly traumatized by) some fun summertime activities:

BTW – he hasn’t gone near the sprinkler since he got hit with it once….the cold water was a shock to his system!

Total Cost to Celebrate: $0

Song of the Day:

So many to choose from today! I had to go with the Fresh Prince on this one:

P.S. – Ahhhhh, summertime.
